OmiseGO (OMG): Slow And Steady Wins The Race


The growth of OmiseGO (OMG) after the launch of its White label wallet SDK has not been spontaneous, rather it has been steady.

The white label wallet SDK which has helped OMG diversify payment, enable people to use credit cards, gift cards, and other digital currencies within the OmiseGo network, has placed the token among the top-ranked cryptocurrencies today.

Holding the 22nd position in the cryptocurrency ranking with a market cap of $1,762,642,222 (USD) the OmiseGo token is trading at $17.27 apiece with a 24-hours trading volume of $35,953,100 (USD).

The OmiseGO eWallet SDK is now open source

On February 28, OmiseGo announced the public availability of the repositories for the OmiseGO eWallet, as well as their first server and mobile SDKs for the purpose of onboarding eWallet providers.

OmiseGo’s approach towards delivering scalability was and is to openly share their progress with the public as progress is made through software development. You can now closely follow the work the OmiseGo team is putting into the SDK.

OmiseGo to Help Rakuten Coin?

Back in 2016, Rakuten acquired Bitnet, a bitcoin wallet startup that it had previously invested in, to help it work on blockchain technology and applications. The company is planning a new cryptocurrency called Rakuten Coin and rolling its $9 billion loyalty program into it.

There are indications that OmiseGo will be facilitating the move. If this comes through, this will serve as a very big boost for OMG. This news is based on speculations and has not been proven yet.

OmiseGo provides interoperability for any digital asset in the market, not only that, after the plasma integration OmiseGo boasts scalability like no other. The OmiseGo network can now process over a million transactions per second. All transactions are secured on the network by the Ethereum styled blockchain OmiseGo runs on.
