Mark Zuckerberg’s Sisters Joins Huobi As A Chain Advisor

The elder to the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has signed on to Huobi, popular crypto exchange to serve as a chain advisor on the network.

Huobi, a prominent name among crypto exchanges has managed to secure some impressive additions to its team as part of its Huobi Chain Project.

Among the most recent addition to the team of Huobi Chain advisors, Randi Zuckerberg has made the most headlines.

Randi Zuckerberg joins seven other experts on the committee, which is designed to serve as a think tank for the digital asset trading platform.

The Huobi Chain Expert Advisory Committee

The Huobi Chain Expert Advisory Committee includes a team of experts who will provide individuals and organizations with a reliable financial protocol for value exchange, fundraising, and securitization.

In addition, members of this committee will provide professional advice as well as support for individuals and organizations during the Huobi Chain Superhero Championship Program’s election phase.

The Huobi Chain Superhero Championship Program was launched by the exchange about two months ago as a way of enhancing community participation in the development of Huobi’s planned public blockchain project.

In the announcement, Huobi announced that the Committee,

“Will provide comprehensive professional advice and insights on the underlying technology, industry application, business model construction and other dimensions of the blockchain.”

Other members of this esteemed committee include:

  • Steve Hoffman, “Silicon Valley Start-up Godfather”
  • Xiaolei Liu, Professor of Finance and Accounting & Director of Blockchain Lab at Guanghua School of Management in Peking University
  • Ooi Beng Chin, Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Fellow of Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS)
  • Don Tapscott, CEO of Tapscott Group and “Father of the Digital Economy”
  • Jeffrey Wernick, early investor of Airbnb, Uber, and Bitcoin
  • Lon Wong, Founder & CEO of ProximaX
  • Jihan Wu, Co-founder & Co-CEO of Bitmain

About Randi Zuckerberg

Randi, a graduate from Harvard, is an entrepreneur and author of four books, although not in the spotlight as often as her brother Mark, has established herself as a prominent figure within the U.S. tech-space in recent years.

She previously served as Facebook’s spokesperson and marketing director during its early years, but currently serves as the CEO of Zuckerberg Media, a New York-based content creation firm she founded five years ago.

In 2010, Randi Zuckerberg was nominated for an Emmy award and was featured as one of 50 Digital Power Players.

While Randi has ventured fully into the blockchain industry with her new position at Huobi, her younger brother Mark Zuckerberg continues to approach the cryptocurrency sector with extreme caution.

Early in 2018, Facebook had banned all crypto-related adverts, however, in June, its reversed its ban on crypto-related adverts, and allowed related content from pre-approved advertisers while prohibiting ads promoting binary options and initial coin offerings.

Mark has stated that he plans on studying all the aspects of cryptocurrencies for solving important issues at Facebook.
