The cryptocurrency market has added $3 billion to its market cap over the past 24 hours, rising from yesterday’s $211 to stand at $214 billion.
This rise comes as most cryptos are trading in the green, with Bitcoin Cash leading the charge.
Despite the increase in market cap, the daily trading volume of the market has remained stagnant at $14 billion over the past few hours.
Bitcoin price analysis
The Bitcoin price has gone up by 0.4% over the past 2 hours, rising from $6,441 to now trade at $6,474. There was no specific catalyst for this market growth, seeming to follow market trends.
The BTC daily trading volume is down by $100 million over the past 24 hours, dropping from $4.4 billion to currently stand at $4.3 billion.
Bitcoin has lost 4.7% of its value over the past five days, falling from it’s high of $6,800 five days ago to see a weekly low of $6,352.
Ethereum price analysis
Ethereum is up 1.2% over the past 24 hours, regaining its second place spot after XRP briefly overtook it yesterday.
ETH was trading at $213 yesterday but has since then risen to now trade at $216, but saw its daily trading volume drop to $1.6 billion from $2 billion recorded yesterday.
Against the U.S. Dollar, Ethereum is down by 14.7% over the past five days. It was trading at $247 five days ago but has since then dropped to now trade at $216, hitting a weekly low of $204 and losing 10.3% of its value against BTC over the past five days.
Ripple price analysis
XRP is still trading at $0.51, retaining its price over the past 24 hours, but saw daily trading volume fall from yesterday’s $1.6 billion to now stand at $1.4 billion.
A look at XRP’s chart shows that it has lost more than 7% of its value against the U.S. Dollar over the past few days. Five days ago, XRP was trading at $0.54 but experienced a haphazard trading pattern which saw it now drop to $0.51 per coin.
Against BTC however, it has lost just 2.5% of its value during that timeframe.
EOS price analysis
EOS has gone up by 4% over the past few hours, rising from $5.36 yesterday to now trade at $5.59. This rise comes despite the trading volume dropping from yesterday’s recorded $800 million to now stand at $687 million.
EOS lost 9% of its value against the USD over the past five days.
The cryptocurrency was trading at $6.10 five days ago but has since then fallen $5.59. Against BTC, EOS has lost 5% of its value during that time period.
Stellar price analysis
Ripple’s main competitor and the sixth largest cryptocurrency, Stellar Lumen, has gone up by 1.2% over the past 24 hours to now trade at $0.25. The rise comes despite its trading volume dropping from $103 million to its current level of $88 million.
XLM enjoyed modest gains of less than 1% against the U.S. Dollar over the past few days.
It was trading at $0.24 five days ago but experienced a high of $0.30 before dropping to its current price of $0.25. It is, however, up 3.3% against BTC over the past five days.
Litecoin price analysis
LTC has gained 1% over the past few hours, rising from $57 to now trade at $58 per coin. The rise comes as the cryptocurrency reacted to the rise in the wider market.
The 24-hour trading volume has meanwhile dropped from $330 million yesterday to now stand at $303 million.
LTC has slipped by 5.3% against the USD over the past few days. The seventh largest cryptocurrency was trading at $60 five days ago but surged to a high of $63 before dropping to its current price of $58.
It has also lost 0.7% against BTC during that time period.
