Daily Price Analysis 10/02: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), EOS, Stellar (XLM) Litecoin (LTC)

The cryptocurrency market has continued its decline, with the market value dropping by $6 billion over the past 24 hours. The total market cap yesterday $221 billion but has since then dropped to $215 billion.

The 24-hour trading volume has remained at $14 billion despite the drop in the market value.

Bitcoin price analysis

Bitcoin has lost 1.7% of its value over the past 24 hours. BTC was trading at $6,571 yesterday but has now dropped to $6,487. There was no catalyst for this drop as the general market lost some of its value.

Despite the drop in price, BTC daily trading volume has risen by $200 million, from yesterday’s $3.9 billion to $4.1 billion today.

Over the past five days, Bitcoin has lost 3.2% of its value against the US Dollar. It was trading at $6,713 a few days ago but has now dropped to $6,487.

Ethereum price analysis

Ethereum is also trading in the red, losing 4% of its value over the past few hours. ETH was trading at $228 yesterday but has now dropped to trade at $220. Just like Bitcoin, ETH daily trading volume has gone up despite the price slumping.

The 24-hour trading volume for ETH yesterday was $1.5 billion but has added $200 million over the past few hours to now stand at $1.7 billion.

Against the USD, Ether has lost more than 4% of its value over the past five days. It was trading at $229 a few days ago but has now dropped to $220 after reaching a high of $233. It is down by less than 1% against BTC over the past five days.

Ripple price analysis

Ripple has lost more than 5% of its value over the past 24 hours, making it the biggest loser amongst leading cryptocurrencies. XRP was trading at $0.57 yesterday but has since slipped to $0.53.

The daily trading volume has dropped slightly to $919 million from the $1.1 billion recorded yesterday.

XRP, the third largest crypto, has lost 2.7% of its value over the past five days. It was trading at $0.54 a few days ago but has now dropped to trade at $0.53. It is down by 0.3% against BTC during that timeframe.

EOS price analysis

The fifth largest crypto is down by 1.5% against the U.S. Dollar over the past 24 hours. EOS was trading at $5.66 yesterday but has now dropped to $5.58. The daily trading volume has also risen slightly over the past few hours.

EOS 24-hour trading volume yesterday was $600 million but now stands at $653 million.

Against the USD, EOS is down by more than 4% over the past few days. It was trading at $5.80 five days ago but has now dropped to $5.50. It has lost more than 1% of its value against BTC over the past few days.

Stellar Lumen price analysis

The payment cryptocurrency XLM has lost 4.5% of its value over the past few hours. It was trading at $0.25 yesterday but has now dropped to trade at $0.24.

The daily trading volume has meanwhile stagnated at $56 million over the past 24 hours.

XLM has lost 6% of its value against the U.S. Dollar over the past five days. It was trading close to $0.26 a few days ago but after a rollercoaster of a week now trades at $0.24. It is down 3.2% against BTC over the past five days.

Litecoin price analysis

The seventh largest crypto has lost 3.7% of its value over the past few hours, dropping from $60 to now trade at $58. The trading volume has meanwhile stayed around the $460 million mark over the past 24 hours.

LTC is down by 9% against the USD over the past few days.

It was trading at $63 five days ago but has been on a decline, with its price now standing at $58. It is meanwhile down by 6% against Bitcoin over the past few days.
